The City of Newport Beach, like all coastal cities in Southern California, has individuals who are currently experiencing homelessness due to a lack of affordable housing, employment, healthcare and mental health services, or who have experienced life-changing events.  The City has adopted a comprehensive approach to connecting these individuals with appropriate resources and housing.

NBPD has a team of four designated homeless liaison officers who work directly with people experiencing homelessness in the city of Newport Beach.
