    Area 4 Commander

    Lieutenant Gary Clemente began his career in Fairfax, Virginia and joined our department in August 2005. He was promoted to the rank of sergeant in 2020 and attained his current rank of lieutenant in February 2024. With his promotion, he was assigned as the Area 4 commander.

    Area 4 includes Corona del Mar, Newport Coast, Spyglass Hill, and the Harbor View Homes. It is the largest of our four areas with the lowest density of residents and visitors. With so much of this area being residential, community members are focused on the safety of their streets and neighborhoods.
