The Newport Beach Police Department has launched Connect Newport Beach (powered by Axon Fusus), a camera registration and integration program that allows residents to work more closely with law enforcement.

Through Connect Newport Beach, residents can choose to make their security camera footage available to NBPD when needed. This partnership helps officers respond more effectively to critical incidents, conduct investigations more efficiently, and deter criminal activity.

Residents are encouraged to register their cameras through the Camera Registry. Here’s what you should know about registering your cameras:

• Registration does not give NBPD direct access to your cameras. It simply lets us know a camera is located at your address and provides a way to contact you if footage may be helpful in an investigation.
• Participation is completely voluntary.
• Registration is free.
• The process takes about 60 seconds and does not require creating an account or password.
