Newport Notified is the Newport Beach Police Department's alert system for disseminating general and emergency information directly from the Police Department to the community. It is used to notify residents and subscribers about issues impacting safety, such as traffic advisories, crime alerts, and community updates. It is also used for emergency notifications related to power outages, evacuations, tsunamis, and other hazards where public safety is at risk.

The Newport Beach Police Department is officially moving notifications systems from Nixle to Newport Notified. By April 12, 2024, NBPD will no longer send out alerts via Nixle.
