In preparation for National Night Out 2015, we are encouraging all members of the Community to start planning their own NNO event in their neighborhood.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. Held on the first Tuesday in August, NNO provides an opportunity to bring police and neighbors together and to bring back a true sense of community to our neighborhoods. The annual theme is “Give neighborhood crime and drugs a going away party”.
So, are you up for the challenge? Take the month of July to plan a block party, ice cream social, potluck, or other neighborhood get-together for the evening of Tuesday, August 4. Register your event, and receive tips and advice, here.
And remember: all of your monthly entries will also be used in the grand prize drawings at the end of the year.
This Challenge is now closed for monthly entries. You may no longer submit a photo or video for this Challenge in order to qualify for the grand prizes at the end of the year.
