Lieutenant Moore is currently assigned as the Executive Officer for the Chief of Police. The Executive Officer supervises the daily activities of the Office of the Chief of Police, which includes Press Information, Community Relations and the Professional Standards Unit. The Executive Officer also serves as a member of the Command Staff.
Lieutenant Moore began his law enforcement career with the Los Angeles Police Department in 1999. He later transferred to the Newport Beach Police Department in 2002 and has since held a variety of positions. Those positions include Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, Detective, S.W.A.T. Team member, Defensive Tactics Instructor, Patrol Supervisor, and Detective Supervisor. He also graduated from the Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute in 2017.
Lieutenant Moore grew up in Long Beach, California and enjoys boating, skiing, mountain biking and spending time with his family.
